Media/Speaking Engagements
Media, Speaking & Facilitated Conversations
As an engaging, passionate speaker, I bring clarity, humor, and personal storytelling to conversations—connecting easily with groups large and small.
My work sits at the intersection of philanthropy, legacy, and community. I advise individuals and families as they clarify values and make decisions about giving, and I also serve on boards and support organizations that are important to me.
When I speak, moderate, or join media conversations, I bring the perspective of a practitioner who works closely with philanthropists—and who understands institutions from the inside. My aim is not promotion for its own sake, but to help people think more deeply about responsibility, relationship, and the legacies we are shaping through our choices.
Engagements
I participate in speaking, moderation, and media engagements that align with my values and experience. These conversations are grounded in lived practice and shaped with intention—whether the setting is a conference stage, a board retreat, or a podcast studio.
Speaking & Facilitated Conversations
I speak and facilitate conversations on topics including:
- Philanthropy as legacy work
- Values and decision-making across generations
- Giving as a relational and communal practice
- Leadership, trust, and shared responsibility
- The role of storytelling in shaping impact and meaning
- One man’s Holocaust survival story
Formats range from talks to interactive, facilitated sessions. Each engagement is planned in advance to ensure clarity, relevance, and alignment with the audience.
Panel Moderation
I moderate panels where thoughtfulness, trust, and tone matter—particularly in philanthropic, communal, and values-based settings.
My approach emphasizes:
- Clear framing and purposeful questions
- Elevating the voices and expertise of panelists
- Creating space for nuance rather than soundbites
I work closely with organizers to shape conversations that are engaging, substantive, and fruitful.
Podcast & Media Appearances
I welcome podcast and media conversations that explore:
- Legacy and values in philanthropy
- How personal history shapes giving
- The human dimensions of leadership and responsibility
- What it means to carry a “good name” forward
These conversations reflect my work with philanthropists and my belief that legacy is shaped as much by how we give as by what we give.
Holocaust Memory & Legacy
I also speak about my father’s Holocaust story and the ways it shaped my understanding of memory, responsibility, and legacy. These talks are offered without fee, as an act of remembrance and education. If you are local to Detroit, I encourage you to find out more about my dad’s story and to see me speak at the Zekelman Holocaust Center in Farmington Hills.
Fees & Honoraria
Fees and honoraria vary based on format, preparation, and context.
As a general guide:
- Podcasts and select media appearances: typically unpaid
- Panel moderation and short talks: honorarium-based
- Workshops, facilitated conversations, and keynotes: fee-based
For all engagements, I outline goals, audience, and expectations in advance to assure maximum alignment and a meaningful experience for all involved.
