Give for Good Circles
When I launched Good Name Advisors last month, I wrote about my visit to Mauthausen and promised that my next message would share more about the “what” and “why” of this work. And so, here we are.
My work is divided between two core areas:
- Philanthropic Consulting, where I help families and individuals preserve their good name through values-driven giving, and
- Give for Good circles, independent giving circles designed to build community and catalyze change through shared learning and collective generosity.
I am, at heart, a storyteller—so let me tell you a bit about me, and why this work matters so deeply to me right now.
I have always believed in the power of the group. I love the sense of camaraderie, connection, and belonging that comes from being part of something greater than oneself. In this moment—where so much of our public and private lives are marked by othering—I believe even more strongly in our capacity to build spaces where people not only belong, but thrive. Where they learn, lead, and make a difference.
Over the years, I’ve joined and led many groups. From my formative experience as a camper on Tamarack Alaska in 1989 (and later co-leading that trip), to founding and sustaining a 25-year book club, to organizing our local Run for Their Lives chapter. One of my proudest professional accomplishments is helping launch the Jewish Entrepreneurs Network in 2001—knowing that one group still meets today.
Groups like these can be transformational. And that’s the heart of Give for Good.
A Give for Good circle brings together friends, colleagues, or even acquaintances around a shared purpose: to learn, to give, and to grow. It’s not about the size of the gift—it’s about shared intention, shared leadership, and shared impact. These kinds of circles—of learning, of giving, of belonging—have shaped both my personal and professional life.
My role is to lead by example, lift up new voices, and create the conditions for others to step into leadership, purpose, and community. I believe in tzimtzum—stepping back to make space for others. That’s how we build circles of influence, not just intention.
Facilitating meaningful conversations and elevating group dynamics are my superpowers. Let me share them with you.
If you’re ready to create a Give for Good circle of your own, I’d love to hear from you. Together, we can build something that helps people feel seen, heard, and inspired to make a difference.
Warmly,
